Referred to as "one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world" by renowned scientist and researcher Alexander von Humboldt, more than 200 years ago, and with good reason!
Its majestic and imposing mountains, landscapes of all colors, with a very diverse flora and fauna and a great number of experiences will await you in this beautiful little paradise.
The Königssse is part of the “Berchtesgaden” natural national park, a fully protected area. Located on the Austrian border to the southwest of Munich. The “Watzmann”, also known as the King mountain, stands out as a backdrop, with its respectable 2713m. high right there directly on the lake. The steep rock face of the mountain drops directly to the shore, so there are no roads, no bike lanes around the lake, just a few hidden trails.
What makes the Königssee a unique place to visit, is the unforgettable experience of riding an electric boat, passing through these rocky and pine-filled mountains stopping at different points of the lake. In summer, autumn, winter or spring, let your mind wander, breathe in the fresh mountain air and really recharge your batteries during your Munich vacation!

ITINERARY
From Munich we will drive for 1.5 hours to the town of Schönau. Once there we will take a short walk of 30m. on flat terrain to the "Malerwinkel" also known as the Painter’s Perspective. Then we will take the electric boat from the “Seelände” to head towards the famous baroque pilgrimage church St. Bartholomä. There we will have a soft drink and Snack in a cozy restaurant in front of the lake. We will be able to appreciate the Watzmann mountain and the entire alpine landscape. We recommend trying the smoked salmon, available immediately. Next, we continue a 15-minute boat ride to Salet, our third stop on Lake Königsee. From this point we will walk 15 min to the idyllic lake “Obersee” and the picturesque Fischunkelalm valley. We will have enough time to enjoy the place and take many photos. Those who dare can walk 30m. up to the highest waterfall in Germany the “Röthbach”. On the way back we will have a comforting and well-deserved lunch and then start our return trip to Munich.
