Thanks to its unique geographic location and easy access, the 1,722-meter-high Wallberg is another popular peak in the Bavarian mountains. And for a good reason: Wallberg lies at the foot of one of the most beautiful valleys in the region. The 360-degree view extends not only towards the Bavarian Alps, but also towards “Tegernsee” lake. Here, mountains, air, snow and water merge, like almost in no other place, to create a natural and idyllic postcard. There, we will find the “Wallberg-Kircherl” chapel, the icon of the mountain, more than 100 years old. 

From the restaurant with a panoramic view, you will be able to observe the avid paragliders who simulate the flight of the local golden eagles and make use of the excellent conditions for long cross-country flights. The main attraction in winter is the longest natural toboggan run in Germany. The descent is over six kilometers long and will take you down a valley past impressing alpine forests. There is always a lot to do around “Wallberg”, so not everyone visits the Cross at the summit, as you have to climb a bit for the last few meters! If the top is too steep, we will simply sit close to the chapel or at a restaurant and enjoy a delicious beer in front of a charming alpine landscape.
